1. Your name says “East Athens”. Is that the only area where you are working?
While our main concentration is East Athens, some of our projects extend into the greater Athens community and surrounding counties. If you see a class or program you are interested in, please call us to see if you qualify.
Our downpayment assistance is limited to Clarke County residents purchasing in Clarke County. Housing counseling and education programs are offered to residents of: Clarke, Oglethorpe, Elbert, Walton, Jackson, Wilkes, Greene, Morgan, Barrow, Oconee, and Madison Counties.
2. What is your definition of East Athens?
Even though it doesn't cover all of East Athens, our board has determined that, roughly, our sphere of influence will cover the area from North Avenue to Lexington Road and from the Loop to the Oconee River.

How do I qualify for American Dream Downpayment (ADDI) downpayment assistance ?
This program is available to Clarke County Residents earning less than 80% of the area median income, who qualify for a first mortgage loan. Homebuyer Education is required for ADDI recipients.
4. How do I qualify for your micro-business revolving loan?
As with our housing loans, the first step is to either take our Mico-enterprise class if you are starting a business, or to have successfully run your business for three consecutive years if you are seeking money to expand your business.
